Srinagar – Sonmarg

Srinagar – Sonmarg [approx 3hrs/80km]: Upon arrival at Srinagar airport; our special vehicle will pick you up and proceed to Sonmarg.  Sonmarg is Situated at an altitude of 9000 Ft. Sonmarg is at a distance of 80Kms from Srinagar is also called as “The meadow of gold”.  Sonmarg lies in Sindh Valley streamed with flowers and surrounded by mountains. The place is also the base for some interesting treks to the high altitude of Himalayan Lake. Ponies can be hired for the trip up to Thajiwas glacier, which is a major local attraction during the summer.

Sonmarg – Kargil

Sonmarg – Kargil [approx 4hrs/123km]: Morning after breakfast enjoy various activities in the snow like skiing. Later proceed to Kargil. Visit

  • Zero point if you wish and if time permits.
  • Glorious War Memorial in the Drass town, situated at the foothill of the Tololing Hills – [10:00am – 05:00pm]
  • Enroute, you will proceed towards a magnificent view of Kargil war famous peaks (Tiger, Tololing)

Kargil – Leh

Kargil – Leh [approx 5hrs/217km]: Morning after breakfast check out from the hotel, & proceed towards Leh (217, kms from Kargil), Leh Ladakh is a high altitude mountainous region bounded by the Karakoram Range from the north and the Grate Himalayas in the south. Often described as Moonland on account of the unique lunar landscape, Ladakh abounds in awesome physical features set in an enormous and spectacular environment. For close to a millennium, the region was an independent mountain kingdom of strategic importance. Leh the royal capital was a major crossroads of Asia with the India sub-continent. From here, the old caravan routes led westward through Kashmir to the silk roads, northward across the Karakorum pass to Central Asia, eastward across the chang-thang highlands to Tibet and china, and southward through present-day Himachal Pradesh to the plains of India. Leh – Pangong

Leh – Pangong [approx 6hrs/223km]: Leave early morning to Pangong Lake through Changla pass 5486 Mtrs. While ascending Changla pass 5486 Mtrs. Enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the villages below the pass.  After crossing the pass halt for picnic lunch at Tsoltak, the summer pastureland of the yaks. Arrive Durbuk and from there a short drive takes you to the western shore of the lake. On arrival check inn at Tents.

  • Later enjoy the landscape in the back drop of the Lake. This famous blue brackish Lake of Pangong is 5/6 Kms wide and over 134Kms long with half of it’s running the other side of the "INDO CHINA BORDER". One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable.

Pangong – Leh

Pangong – Leh [approx 6hrs/223km]: After breakfast at Tents, take a little walk around the lake to enjoy the morning breeze & clear view of the lake. Later check out from there & drive back to Leh. On arrival, check in at Hotel. Rest day free for shopping or other activities. Have dinner.

Leh – Nubra Valley

Leh – Nubra Valley Enroute Khardung La 18,390 Feet [approx 4hrs 30min/120km]: After breakfast check out from the Camp & proceed to Nubra Valley. The road journey from Leh to Nubra Valley passes over Khardung La (The Highest Motorable Road In The World) at 5,602 Mtrs / 18,390 Ft, around 39 km from Leh.

  • From the pass, one can see all the way south over the Indus valley to seemingly endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar range, and north to the giants of the Saser massif. Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldumra or the valley of flowers. It is situated inthe north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. The average altitude of the valley is 10,000 Ft. above sea level.

On arrival in Nubra check in to the Camp/ Hotel in Hunder for Overnight stay. 

  • In the evening you can walk around the tiny villages to see how the locals live in this part of the world. A visit to a Ladakhi home can be arranged.

Nubra valley – Leh

Nubra valley – Leh [approx 5hrs/159km]: Morning after breakfast check out from the camp & we will visit the most picturesque Disket monastery on the hill top. Later continue drive to other side of Nubra valley – was the main part of silk route. We will continue our drive back to Leh via Khardungla. Arrival at Leh. Check in to the hotel. Get freshen up.

Leh Monastery Tour

Leh: Morning after breakfast proceed to Monastery Tour:

  • Shey, this Monastery was also built in 1655; the monastery is noted for its giant copper with gilded gold statue of a seated Shakyamuni Buddha – [06:00am – 01:ppm – 01:30:pm – 06:00pm] 
  • Thiksay, this monastery is located at an altitude of 3,600 metres (11,800 ft) in the Indus Valley – [07:00am – 07:00pm]
  • Hemis Monastery is the largest such structure in central Ladakh – [08:00am – 01:00pm – 02:00pm – 06:00pm]
  • Evening explore local market.

Leh

Leh: After breakfast check out from the hotel & proceed to Leh airport to board the flight for hometown.
