Kumta – Sirsi – Jog Falls

Kumta – Sirsi [approx 2hrs/63km] – Jog Falls [approx 2hrs/68km]: Upon arrival at Kumta railway station; Our special vehicle will pick you up & proceed to Sirsi. On arrival check in to the hotel. Get freshen up. Have breakfast. After breakfast proceed to visit:

• Gersoppa Falls (Jog Falls) which is the second-highest Plunge waterfall in India.
• Madhukeshwara Temple, Banavasi –   [Banvasi the capital of an ancient Kingdom in Karnataka which was ruled by the Kadamba Dynasty. Banavasi is considered as the “first” capital of Karnataka state, with the current capital being Bangalore. Although most of the ancient grandeur of the dynasty in Banavasi has been lost, an ancient temple for Madhukeshwara (Lord Shiva) is still largely intact and has been declared a monument of historical importance by the Archaeological Survey of India. It is also considered as Dakshin Kashi. Here we will see Monolith Asthana Mantapa and Triloka Mantapa.
• Marikamba Temple.

Sirsi – Unchelli – Sirsi

Sirsi – Unchelli [approx 1hrs/34km] – Sirsi [approx 2hrs/44km]: After breakfast proceed to Yana visit:

• Unchelli Fall (One of the biggest tourist attractions near Sirsi. The waterfall has a 116 meter drop and offers spectacular views at all times of the year.

Evening proceed to visit: [Around 04:00pm]

• Sahasralinga – Sahasralinga (which is another place of significance, where sculptures carved from stone are installed in the middle of a flowing river. The river is surrounded by lush green forest; the place is about 10 km away from Sirsi.
• Evening free time for shopping.

Sirsi – Yana – Kumta

Sirsi – Yana [approx 1hr 30min/53km] – Kumta [approx 2hrs/61km]: After breakfast check out from the hotel & proceed to visit:

• Yana (has huge impressive structures of Bhasma, which are unusual rock formations. It is also known for being a holi place of Lord Shiva, and is still untouched by regular tourists. (Yana is possible only after rainy season).
• Vibhooti falls – [it’s the beauty of Western Ghats at best!! Very clean water sprinkling from the sky, you will forget everything in your life by standing at this place].

Later proceed to Kumta railway station to board train for hometown.
