Everything you Need to Know about….

“9 NEW SUPERB & MUST visit places in Mumbai”

Small but Pro-Active steps towards the revival of Tourism in Mumbai have led to the creation of new attractions which are now operational & are worth visiting.

In this Blog Post, we shed light on 9 new attractions worth a visit. Let’s know them before you go…

So, here we go.

Let the sea breeze make your hair dance as you whizz pass the well-known attractions of Mumbai perched atop the OPEN DECK BUS (Nilambari). Gaze in awe as an expert Tour Guide reveals trivia & nuanced information about every possible building that passes by making your tour interesting, educational, and enjoyable.

Watch out and learn about many historical and archaeological structures as you travel through the city's past and present. This bus is operated by BEST and has been launched by MTDC Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation.
Currently, this bus operates on weekends in two evening slots:
7:00 PM to 8:00 PM

8:15 PM to 9:15 PM

Gateway of India

CSMT, Vidhan Bhawan, Churchgate, NCPA, Regal Cinema, Marine Drive, and Heritage areas along the way.

There is deck-wise pricing of tickets. Lower Deck Ticket is at Rs 60/- and an Open Upper Deck is at Rs 180/-

2. HOHO Bus

HOHO which stands for Hop On Hop Off are the; “buses that ply throughout the day between/on a route hosting multiple tourist attractions with designated but limited stops”
These buses are a huge hit in the majority of cities abroad as they offer;

  • Wide Coverage in terms of number of attractions
  • Unlimited to & fro rides
  • Tourists can select their own pace to travel and can get on and off multiple times during the day
  • Buses ply at regular intervals with good frequency
  • Affordable

On par with this global touristy bandwagon and with an aim of enticing tourists. BEST too has recently introduced Hop On Hop Off buses that will ply between CSMT to Juhu every 30 mins between 9:00 am to 8 pm. BEST has deployed a dedicated fleet of 10 Electric buses for this. So, Hop-On and see the famous tourist spots on the way like CSMT, Siddhivinayak Temple, Byculla Zoo / Bhau Daji Lad Museum, Nehru Science Centre/ Nehru Planetarium, Mani Bhavan, Band Stand Bandra, Juhu Garden, Juhu Chowpatty, Hanging Garden, Aquarium, Museum and Gateway of India. All these places at your own pace and much more. That too on the SINGLE reasonably priced ticket.

On the PD’Mello entrance of CSMT in the Heritage Gully that displays Open Air items of Railway Heritage. One bright yellow bogie in all its glory is a cynosure. Here comes Mumbai’s first-ever YUMMY attraction - A restaurant inside a fully revamped rail car, named BOGIE- WOGIE.

This restaurant operates 24/7 and offers an amazing views of Heritage gully on one side and Platform No 18 on the other. Order your favorite dish from its big 13-page menu serving an array of cuisines like North Indian, South Indian, Chinese, and Continental.

CR is conducting a feasibility study to launch similar Railcar restaurants on revamped railcars at major interchange stations and junctions like Kurla, LTT, Thane, and Kalyan.

BIG HELLO to all you Booze babies, babas & alcohol connoisseurs. Mansionz by Living Liquidz - your ARENA & HAVEN straight out of your hangover utopia.... is now here.

Located near Kamla Mills Compound outside Lodha World One in Lower Parel. This is not a regular Liquor Store to buy your booze but a store that takes liquor buying to a completely new level. Mansionz by Living Liquidz is a multi-floor mansion that offers swanky interiors and an irresistible array of liquors from around the world.

Some highlighted areas in the store are:

  • Liquor Lounge
  • Courtyard Area
  • Tasting Room
  • Rooftop Cocktail Bar
  • Pan Asian Restaurant

It’s not a store but a mini and compact gold drenched booze pick destination in itself.

Can you recall your play as a kid? when on a cold night you sat beneath the big blanket or quilt with your toys and the blanket fell down? Now you can actually do it without any fear of the blanket falling down and distracting your reverie at the compact pod Hotels… These reasonably priced pods with Japanese design offer basic overnight lodging for travelers who do not require or cannot afford the bigger, pricier accommodation provided by the traditional hotels. There are Ladies only pods, disable friendly pods, and private pods.

Located at Mumbai Central station fully equipped with contemporary amenities like toiletries, locker, luggage stocking area, ventilation, mirrors, reading lights, mobile charging sockets, DND facility Wifi and more…
How about a mini Solocation inside a pod??

Standing near the coastline with naked eyes one could clearly see the part of the hinterland. However, think of reaching there… and the treacherous journey of 2.5 hours awaits you.
But, NO MORE…

Decade plus long wait is finally anticipated to end soon, as Water Taxis connecting Ferry Wharf in South Mumbai to various locations in Navi Mumbai like Belapur, Nerul, Karanja, Rewas and more is all set to launch anytime soon.

These Water Taxis will just take 25 mins on a scenic, breezy sea to reach either side as against dreadful on-road journey of 2 hours. Water Taxis are slated to ply at regular intervals between 8:00 am to 8:00 pm both ways.  However, they will come at an exorbitant ONE WAY cost range between Rs 750/- to Rs 1500/- per passenger. Ensure to hop in and experience the ride that is slated to be SUPERHIT.

AFFORDABLE FARE RANGE + REGULAR FREQUENCY will make this project available for the masses and is what is needed to make this project sustainable in the long run.

Prepare to be intrigued by posing alongside leading global stars from all walks of life displayed at Mumbai's first international Red Carpet Wax Museum. Located on level 1 at R-City Mall in Ghatkopar this one’s certainly hard to miss.

It is a museum or gallery of big names, introducing global personalities to the world through life-like wax statues.

With moving statues, the museum guarantees a true red carpet event vibe. Guests of all ages will find the museum appealing. Activity time is from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm and duration is for 1 Hour.

The museum, as of now displays highly regarded figures such as Mahatma Gandhi, Abraham Lincoln, Balasaheb Thackeray, Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela, the Dalai Lama, Albert Einstein, and many more. A museum is a perfect place for lots of photos and selfies.

Word “FLOATEL” when split stands for Floating Hotel.

And, Hey you Mumbaiites… Did you know that now you have a Floatel cum Mini Cruise that sails right here in Mumbai named “The C Cruise”

“The C Cruise” (Cabo Cruise) at Gaimukh Creek between Thane & Borivali. The Cruise operates/floats from Gaimukh Creek to Kolshet Creek and back on weekends and is stationary other days. Watch sunsets as you float luxuriously on the Creek amidst Green Peaks and Blue Sky.
The Cruise has two decks:

Lower Deck hosts a lounge to get the party animal in you up & outlet your hair down to the groovy beats of music. Watch the waves unfold beneath your feet from the transparent glass bottom deck as Cruise advances. And, then top it up by relishing lip-smacking Food & Beverages.

Upper Deck houses an eatery with a place for On Deck music concerts.

Head to The Cabo Cruise on weekdays during happy hours (3 pm to 7 pm) and get one drink free on a purchase of two. Do check out the party schedule that Cruise organizes frequently.

Imagine walking on the water… Now it’s indeed possible at fully renovated and refurbished Masunda Lake or Talav Pali in Thane. Walk on the toughened transparent glass over the lake that gives you a feel of walking on gushing water. Experience the burgeoning biodiversity (Marine Life) of the lake underneath your feet without any fear of trampling, watch a variety of fish and occasionally spot a snake if you’re lucky.

Come here in the evening and a ray of LED lights lit up the promenade, giving you a feel of strolling amidst glittering paradise.

Relax at a newly constructed mini-amphitheater opposite Thane’s historic St John’s Church, take a mini pedal boat ride on the lake or if you are too tired then just hop on a LAKE FERRY and don’t forget to relish the lip-smacking array of foods served at many food joints adjoining the lake.
